So softly he kissed me, as his arms wrapped lovingly around my waist, pulling me close; holding me tighter.

Breaking the kiss, leaving me breathless and wanting more, He looks me in the eye and the stare is so intense I feel like he can see my soul. But he’s smiling and it’s so devastatingly beautiful I feel my heart stop.

“I will always love you” he proclaimed as he pulled me against his chest.
“You can’t be so sure.” I answered to his chest, feeling the tears prick my eyes.

He pulls me from his chest, putting his hands on my shoulders and doing that intense stare thing again.

In a voice that had so much certainty and strength he said:
“I will marry you one day. Even if by some freak chance we break up, I’ll always come back for you, no matter what. You’re my one and only, I will love you for eternity.”

The strength and meaning behind those words was evident.

I started to cry and your face became creased with worry. So I took your hands and I told you:
“That’s the most beautiful thing you have ever said to me.”

The tears spilled down my cheeks and you pulled me against you.
